Kris Auer, Bike Maintenance Instructor

In his own words:

“I started cycling in 1985 and by 1986 I had started the first public high school cycling team in New England.   We competed in the then popular Prep School league which was a fantastic introduction to the sport.   After a short stint in the early 90's racing in Europe, I came back to the states and had a career as a Professional Mtn Biker while continuing to practice Road and Cyclocross.    Still a top masters competitor I now run the C3-Athletes Serving Athletes Professional Team and recently opened my own bike shop in Baltimore: Twenty20 Cycling.

In 2007 I did my first triathlon and duathlon.  Since then I've competed on and off road in triathlon up to the half ironman distance and plan on continuing for as long as I am able."

This is my very first time attempting a triathlon or any endurance event. I know so little, I would not even know to ask the right questions to help prepare myself. The camp and its excellent speakers and presenters offered information, guidance, technical correction on every aspect of the triathlon. I'll still be nervous on my first race day, but I now feel much more prepared.

Thank you so much!"
