She Does Tri Staff

Kim Larson, Coordinator

Before her first triathlon in 2006, Kim Larson thought to herself “What have I gotten myself into – I can’t do this!” Less than two months later, she registered for her first Ironman.

Kim now does whatever she can to help others with a similar mentality realize their potential andability. As Travel and Events Coordinator and a Bike Leader for Team Z (a local triathlon team), Advertising Account Executive for Tri-DC Magazine, USAT certified official, volunteer coordinator for the Joanna M. Nicolay Melanoma Foundation’s Savageman Triathlon, and mentor for the Danskin SheROX Triathlon in Philadelphia, Kim has become a bit obsessed with the sport and lifestyle known as triathlon.

Kim grew up in an extremely active household and still considers herself the “lazy one” in the family. When she can find the time, she enjoys other activities such as hiking, rock climbing, and playing tennis – but finds a particular satisfaction in triathlon because it is the one activity her younger brother has yet to partake in (and therefore beat her at).

Kim works as a contractor for event logistics, site selection, and contract negotiation. She is hoping that each venue utilized for the She Does Tri triathlon camps will be a unique and exciting experience, and is thrilled to be a part of such a gratifying venture!

This is my very first time attempting a triathlon or any endurance event. I know so little, I would not even know to ask the right questions to help prepare myself. The camp and its excellent speakers and presenters offered information, guidance, technical correction on every aspect of the triathlon. I'll still be nervous on my first race day, but I now feel much more prepared.

Thank you so much!"
